What is DEXTS3?

DEXTS3 is an S3-compatible file manager for Windows by DEXTSolution, Inc. that lets you browse, upload, download, copy, move, rename and delete files in Amazon S3 and S3-compatible object storage (MinIO, Cloudflare R2, Wasabi, Backblaze B2 and others) from a dual-pane interface — local PC on the left, S3 bucket on the right.
Upload large files to S3 without code or the command line — just drag and drop. Large files are split into multipart chunks and transferred in parallel, interrupted transfers resume from the point they stopped, and you connect to your buckets from your PC instead of a web console. Licensing is fully offline, so it also works on enterprise and air-gapped networks.

Dual-pane browsing
Local PC on the left, S3 on the right. One drag and drop is an upload or a download. Copy, cut and paste shortcuts work across panes, just as you'd expect.
Fast large-file uploads
Large files are split into parts (multipart upload) and sent simultaneously. When the storage is congested, DEXTS3 automatically lowers concurrency — and raises it again once things settle.
Resume where you left off
Transfer state is saved even if the app closes mid-transfer. Reconnect and pick up from the exact point it stopped; files whose source changed in the meantime are safely re-downloaded from scratch.
Job recycle bin
Canceled and failed jobs are kept so you can retry them all at once. Items past the retention period (1, 3 or 7 days) are cleaned up automatically.
Versioning management
See deleted items and previous versions of a versioned bucket right in the list, then restore, permanently delete or download any version.
Multi-account & share links
Save multiple accounts and switch with one click. Secret keys are stored encrypted, and any file can be shared instantly with a link valid for up to 7 days.

- Familiar shortcuts
- Ctrl+C Ctrl+X Ctrl+V Ctrl+A Delete F2 — exactly as in File Explorer. Mouse buttons 4 and 5 go back and forward.
- Bookmarks
- Save frequently used local and S3 paths per pane and jump straight to them. S3 bookmarks are stored per account.
- S3 search
- Search the current folder only, or include all subfolders. Recursive searches, which may incur request costs, ask for confirmation first.
- Transfer dashboard
- All, In progress, Completed and Error tabs, with per-job pause, resume and cancel, transfer speed, time remaining and error details — on one screen.
- Runs in the system tray
- Transfers keep running after you close the window. On exit, jobs in progress can be sent to the recycle bin and resumed the next time you launch.
- Dark & light themes
- Follow the system setting or choose your own. Available in English and Korean.
- Secure storage
- Secret keys are saved only when auto-login is enabled — and only in encrypted form.

How do I manage S3 files easily on Windows?
Install DEXTS3 and add an account: choose the storage type, region and endpoint URL, enter your Access Key, and connect. Your PC opens on the left and your S3 bucket on the right. Drag files across to upload or download, and use the same shortcuts as Windows File Explorer to copy, paste, rename and delete.
Can I upload large files to S3 without code or the command line?
Yes. You don't need the AWS CLI or an SDK — just drag and drop files or folders. Files above a set size are automatically split into multipart chunks and uploaded in parallel, and an interrupted upload resumes from where it stopped. Upload checksums (CRC32 / SHA-1 / SHA-256) confirm the data arrived intact.
Can I connect to S3 from my PC instead of the web console?
Yes. DEXTS3 connects to your buckets directly from a desktop app, without opening your provider's web console. Upload and download whole folders, restore versions, create share links and edit metadata and tags in one window.
Can DEXTS3 be used in enterprise or air-gapped environments?
Yes. Licensing is fully offline — registered with a PC fingerprint, no internet connection required — and on-premises S3-compatible storage such as MinIO connects through its endpoint URL. Secret keys are stored only when auto-login is enabled, and only encrypted, and upload and download bandwidth limits keep business networks responsive.
How is DEXTS3 different from Cyberduck or FileZilla?
Cyberduck and FileZilla are general-purpose file transfer tools that handle many protocols such as FTP and SFTP. DEXTS3 is a Windows app dedicated to S3 and S3-compatible object storage. It focuses on S3 work: a dual pane with your PC and S3 side by side, multipart transfers that adjust concurrency automatically to storage congestion, restoring deleted items in versioned buckets, and offline licensing for air-gapped networks.
Which storage services does DEXTS3 work with?
Amazon S3 and any S3-compatible object storage, including MinIO, Cloudflare R2, Wasabi and Backblaze B2. For Amazon S3, leave the endpoint URL empty and the correct regional endpoint is used automatically; for other storage, enter the provider's endpoint URL.
Can I use storage that blocks bucket listing?
Yes. Enter the bucket names you use under "Bucket access" in the account settings. DEXTS3 then shows only those buckets without trying to list them, so you can start working right away.
What happens when I rename a folder in S3?
S3 has no real folders, so a rename copies every object inside and then deletes the originals. Depending on the number and size of objects this can take time and incur costs, so DEXTS3 asks you to confirm before it runs.
If my PC shuts down mid-transfer, do I have to start over?
No. Transfer state is saved, so when you reconnect DEXTS3 asks whether to continue and resumes from the point it stopped. If you choose not to continue, temporary files and incomplete multipart uploads are cleaned up automatically.
What if the source file in storage changes during a download?
DEXTS3 detects it automatically. If the source changes while downloading, the job is marked as an error so no corrupted file is produced, and if the source has changed when you resume, the file is downloaded again from the beginning instead of being resumed.
Can I recover a file I deleted by mistake?
Yes, if bucket versioning is enabled. Deleted items appear in the list with a strikethrough; choose "Restore" from the context menu to remove the delete marker and bring the file back. You can also roll back to an earlier version or download a specific version.
How do I share a file stored in S3?
Right-click an S3 file and choose "Create share link". Pick an expiry of 1 hour, 1 day or 7 days, or enter your own (up to 7 days). The presigned URL is copied to your clipboard automatically.
Can I create or delete buckets in DEXTS3?
No. DEXTS3 focuses on working with files inside buckets: you can switch between and refresh buckets, but creating, editing and deleting buckets is done in your storage provider's console.

Can I move my license to a new PC?
Yes. Export the serial (.dat) on the new PC and send it with your order number, and we will reissue the license for the new PC. The license on the old PC stops being valid.
Can I register a license on an offline, air-gapped network?
Yes. You export a .dat file containing your PC fingerprint and receive a license file offline, so no connection to an activation server is required.
